Privacy & tester terms

Heritage Route Atlas is an early private test build. It is not a substitute for official visitor information, travel advice or emergency information. Always check the relevant operator before travelling.

What this preview is for

This preview lets invited testers try heritage discovery, journey planning and site information features. Features, routes, opening details, prices and data sources may change or be incomplete while testing.

Information we use

• Your email address is used to create and secure your tester sign-in.
• Limited test-build activity may be recorded to understand whether the preview is working and being used.
• Feedback you submit is stored with its category and, if you opt in, may be used to contact you about that feedback.
• Saved sites, collections, journeys and tutorial preferences are stored locally in your browser or app installation.

External services

When you request a feature, the app may contact English Heritage for public site information, OpenStreetMap/Nominatim for map and place search data, OSRM for route calculation and Open-Meteo for weather forecasts. Those services process the request needed to provide the feature under their own terms and privacy practices.

Your choices

You can clear local saved app data in Settings at any time. You may stop testing whenever you choose. To request deletion of your tester account or feedback data, contact the project owner using the feedback form and include the email address used to sign in.

Tester expectations

Please do not rely on this preview for time-critical travel decisions. Do not share access codes, attempt to bypass access controls, or submit unlawful, harmful or sensitive information through feedback. We may change, pause or remove the preview at any time.
